Missions in Cambodia
Thanks a lot for sending in our support with the extra blessing. The Lord is indeed faithful to know when and what is our exact need. Praise God for always using JIR as a means and channel of His blessing.
We rejoice to inform you that the Campus ministry of SMO at the Promised Land in Murcia has been blessed by the Lord to start a pioneering Community Church in our area. The Church was borne because of the lockdown brought about by Covid19. Since the SMO staff cannot attend the in-person worship service in Bacolod City, we decided to start our very own worship service at the Promised Land. The high school students that we had reached out in the high schools, stayed with us during the pandemic to help us in our farm work, and at the same time, they were being discipled here.
When the pandemic started to ease last year, our staff conducted visitations to different families, especially families of the students staying with us. Home Bible Studies then begun in the different areas in the community - both in nearby and up the mountains where most of our students live. Praise God that after a year, 12 souls decided to undergo the covenant membership class and follow the Lord in water baptism. We had the ceremony held last Saturday. This coming Sunday, June 26, we will be celebrating the first anniversary of "Lifespring Fellowship Church- Murcia."
We are now officially a Church. What a joy to see how the Lord causes this very young Church to grow not just in numbers, but also in the attender's desire to grow in Christ. Please pray for our upcoming Anniversary celebration on Sunday. May the Lord grant us a good weather condition as the rainy season has already started since last month.
